The Society for Advancement of Management (SAM) is proud to announce Jonathan Steinberg, Director of Research and Analytics at EurekaFacts, as a Keynote Speaker for Educational Research & Measurement Day during the 2026 SAM International Business Conference, taking place March 16–21, 2026, at the New England Institute of Technology in Rhode Island.

As a senior leader at EurekaFacts, a research and analytics firm based in Rockville, Maryland, Steinberg oversees initiatives that advance understanding across the transportation, public health, and education sectors. Since joining the organization in 2023, he has guided strategic growth while fostering a strong culture of research excellence and applied analytics. His team’s work focuses on using data to generate insights that inform public programs, enhance decision-making, and support community outcomesJonathan Steinburg.

Prior to joining EurekaFacts, Steinberg spent 18 years at the Educational Testing Service (ETS), where he served as Manager of Data Analysis & Computational Research in the Research & Development Division. During his tenure, he contributed to numerous high-impact projects, including research for the Praxis® program, foundational studies for the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), and the development and validation of new literacy assessments through the Reading for Understanding grant, funded by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES). His work also supported projects funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and Race to the Top, focusing on improving mathematics education and developing collaborative problem-solving assessmentsJonathan Steinburg.

Steinberg’s academic foundation is equally distinguished. He earned his B.A. in Statistics from the University of Rochester and his M.A. in Statistics from Columbia University, equipping him with a strong quantitative background that has shaped his career in educational measurement and research leadership. His professional contributions include numerous technical papers, research reports, and conference presentations advancing the field of educational assessment.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Steinberg is a long-standing leader in the Northeastern Educational Research Association (NERA). He has served in multiple leadership roles, including President, and has been active as a conference chair, presenter, discussant, and reviewer.
