The Society for Advancement of Management proudly celebrates the achievements of the New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) Collegiate Chapter, which was named Second Place Winner in the Large Chapter Division of the 2025 Campus Chapter Performance Program. This national recognition honors the chapter’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, leadership development, and student engagement in the management field.
Throughout the 2024–2025 academic year, the NEIT chapter distinguished itself through innovative programming, a strong sense of community, and outstanding performance in national competitions. Under the guidance of faculty advisor Shelby Perry, the chapter continued to elevate its presence on campus and within the broader SAM network. Shelby Perry, herself a previous national award recipient, has helped shape a chapter culture rooted in professionalism, strategic thinking, and student empowerment.
The chapter hosted and co-sponsored several impactful events that brought real-world learning into the classroom. Notably, NEIT organized the SAM Leadership Academy & Induction Ceremony, where new members were welcomed and exceptional student leaders were honored. Other standout events included a panel titled AI in Healthcare: Lifesaver or Pandora’s Box?, which explored the ethical and practical implications of artificial intelligence in medicine, and AI: A New Frontier in Mental Health Solutions, a timely discussion on how AI can be used to enhance care and support for those experiencing mental health challenges.
In addition to hosting campus-based programming, NEIT students actively participated in SAM’s national competitions. Their long history of excellence includes high placements in the International Business Skills Championship, Case Competition Championship, and Written Case Competitions. These accomplishments reflect a chapter that not only engages in leadership and learning but consistently performs at the highest levels of academic and competitive excellence.
The chapter’s strength also lies in its diverse and highly motivated membership. Students from a wide array of academic backgrounds come together to explore emerging business trends, connect with professionals, and sharpen their management skills. The SAM chapter at NEIT continues to serve as a model of what’s possible when innovation, leadership, and collaboration intersect.
This second-place national finish builds upon years of success for the NEIT chapter and is a testament to the students’ dedication, their advisor’s mentorship, and the university’s support of experiential learning. The Society for Advancement of Management extends its congratulations to NEIT for this well-earned honor and looks forward to their continued contributions to the SAM community and beyond.
