Currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Management Information Systems at the University of Illinois Springfield, Ake is known for balancing technical acumen with a passion for innovation. His academic foundation began with a degree in petroleum engineering from Covenant University in Nigeria and has since expanded into the fields of data analysis, project management, and business technology.
Ake’s impressive range of experience includes his current role as an intern with the Illinois Department of Labor, where he contributes to high-impact IT and data initiatives. From optimizing reporting frameworks to developing performance dashboards, his work supports data-driven decision-making at the state level. Prior to this, he led key projects in the private and public sectors, including managing SAP systems and implementing enterprise solutions at CUVA Technologies and the Ministry of Petroleum Resources.
On campus, Ake is an engaged member of the Student Association for Management and an active voice on the Green Fee Committee, demonstrating his dedication to both leadership and sustainability. His academic record stands out as one of the strongest among his peers, supported by faculty who describe him as a top-ranking student with a talent for bringing forward-thinking solutions to real-world challenges.
A certified Scrum Product Owner and Scrum Master, Ake is deeply committed to lifelong learning and agile principles. He is passionate about contributing to the future of business technology, and his peers and mentors alike view him as someone who leads by example.
