In a competition heavily defined by teamwork, it takes something exceptional to stand apart as an individual.

The International Collegiate Business Skills Championships challenge students across a wide range of disciplines, from Knowledge Bowl and Extemporaneous Speech to Written Case and Case Study presentations. While team performance drives overall results, individual excellence still emerges through those who consistently perform at the highest level, particularly in moments that demand independent thinking, rapid response, and confident communication.

In the Invitational Division, a select group of competitors distinguished themselves from an already talented field, earning recognition as the top individual performers in the competition.

INVITATIONAL DIVISION
GRAND CHAMPION

NEW ENGLAND INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY

Jacque Galligan of New England Institute of Technology earned first place overall individual honors, rising above her peers through a remarkable display of consistency, preparation, and composure. Across the Championships, her performance reflected not only a deep understanding of business concepts, but the ability to apply that knowledge in real time under pressure. To emerge as the top individual competitor in a field of high-performing students is a significant accomplishment and a testament to both skill and discipline.

INVITATIONAL DIVISION SECOND PLACE – OVERALL TEAM NEIT - EARLY COLLEGE PROGRAM

Davis Collette of the NEIT Early College Program secured second place, delivering an outstanding individual performance that showcased both capability and potential. Competing alongside collegiate-level peers, Davis demonstrated that excellence is not limited by experience, but driven by focus, preparation, and the willingness to compete at the highest level.

INVITATIONAL DIVISION THIRD PLACE – OVERALL TEAM STEPHEN F. AUSTIN STATE UNIVERSITY

Austin Gartzman of Stephen F. Austin State University earned third place, rounding out a group of top performers who consistently delivered when it mattered most. His performance reflected a strong command of the material and the ability to navigate a demanding, multi-event competition with confidence and precision.

What makes these achievements particularly meaningful is the structure of the Championships themselves. In team-based events, scores are shared, placing greater emphasis on performance in individual components such as Knowledge Bowl and Extemporaneous Speech. These moments require competitors to rely entirely on their own preparation and instincts, making individual recognition a true measure of personal excellence.

To be named among the top individual performers in the Invitational Division is to stand out in a field defined by talent, preparation, and ambition. These competitors have not only contributed to their teams, but have distinguished themselves as leaders, thinkers, and communicators in their own right.

Their achievements represent the very best of what the Championships are designed to highlight: the ability to perform, adapt, and excel when the spotlight is on the individual.
