The Open Division of the Business Knowledge Bowl delivered one of the most competitive and energetic showdowns of the International Collegiate Business Skills Championships at the 81st SAM International Business Conference.
Bringing together students from across institutions, the Open Division highlights a wide field of talent competing in a format that rewards both knowledge and execution. From the first round through the finals, the competition moved quickly, with participants navigating a structure designed to test how well they perform under pressure.
Each competitor began with a 100-question qualifying exam, earning the opportunity to advance into a bracket-style tournament. From there, the format shifted to a live, head-to-head competition where participants selected questions from a points-based board and raced to respond.
The pace was fast. The margins were tight. Every round demanded focus, quick thinking, and confidence.
By the final rounds, the field had narrowed to a group of standout performers who consistently demonstrated the ability to respond accurately and decisively.

“The Open Division reflects the depth of talent across institutions and the ability of students to compete and succeed under pressure,” said Patrick Endicott, Executive Director of the Society for Advancement of Management and host of the Business Knowledge Bowl.
The Business Knowledge Bowl continues to be a defining component of the International Collegiate Business Skills Championships, offering students a competitive environment that mirrors the demands of real-world decision-making.
As part of the broader SAM International Business Conference, the event provides a platform where students can demonstrate not only what they know, but how effectively they can apply it when it matters most.rate applied knowledge and develop skills that translate directly into professional environments.
