As artificial intelligence becomes embedded in organizational decision-making, leaders face a growing challenge that extends beyond technology adoption. The central management question is how organizations can integrate AI without weakening human judgment, ethical responsibility, and relational trust. This accepted scholarly research presentation introduces the Insight–Action Nexus (IAN) Model as a framework for sustaining organizational health in AI-mediated environments.
Rather than treating AI as a neutral productivity tool, the research reframes it as a diagnostic stressor that reveals the underlying cognitive, ethical, and relational health of organizations. The IAN Model positions mindful trust as the organizing principle that connects strategic stewardship, human–AI synergy, knowledge networks, and intentional interface design. Through this lens, insight becomes responsible action only when discernment, ethical awareness, and human agency remain central to decision-making.
Drawing on organizational studies, ethics, and systems thinking, the presentation challenges automation bias and epistemic dependency while offering leaders a structured way to preserve human judgment under technological pressure. The model emphasizes organizational discernment as an institutional capability, enabling leaders to resist over-reliance on AI-generated outputs while still benefiting from intelligent systems.
Designed for scholars and practitioners concerned with organizational health, leadership, and the future of management, this session offers a research-grounded framework for diagnosing vulnerabilities and strengthening cognitive resilience in hybrid human–AI systems. Attendees will gain practical insight into how healthy organizations sustain trust, accountability, and strategic vitality in AI-saturated environments.
