As a faculty advisor, Dr. Harden has played a vital role in building community, encouraging participation, and ensuring students are informed, engaged, and empowered.
Her commitment to the SAM Chapter goes far beyond the classroom. She actively promotes chapter events, meetings, and fundraisers, and ensures students are well connected to SAM’s mission and values. From offering guidance to student officers to attending chapter meetings and events, Dr. Harden has consistently provided support that is both strategic and heartfelt.
As Chapter President shared, “Her unwavering encouragement gave me confidence in my leadership, and I knew I could always count on her.” That confidence extended across the executive team, thanks to Dr. Harden’s consistent presence and advice, which helped turn ideas into impactful initiatives.
Dr. Harden also works tirelessly behind the scenes to enhance opportunities for her students. She has secured guest speakers, arranged field trips, and forged partnerships with alumni to broaden student exposure to the world of management. She has even worked to obtain additional funding through the UT System to support her chapter’s participation in the annual case competition, ensuring students have access to valuable, real-world learning experiences.
