Reece, a student at Florida State University’s Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship, exemplifies the spirit of servant leadership and community engagement that defines this prestigious honor.
Reece’s academic record speaks for itself. With a perfect 4.0 GPA across more than 120 credit hours, he has excelled in rigorous business courses spanning accounting, legal environments, marketing, and entrepreneurial growth. His commitment to academic excellence is matched by his pursuit of practical skills, earning certifications in business acumen-related software like Microsoft Excel.
What truly sets Reece apart is his passion for applying his talents in service to others. Through SAM, he has found a space not only for professional development but also for personal transformation. As he reflects in his personal narrative, “SAM transforms your perspective on your position in the world. It transforms your desire to help others, and it transforms your life as you work towards becoming the person you want to be.” This transformation is evident in the meaningful work Reece has led and supported throughout his time at FSU.
From founding a business that assists in planning high-impact college events like the 7-Under-30 speaker series and the ACC InVenture Prize, to rolling up his sleeves for community service projects, Reece has embraced the full spectrum of leadership. Whether coordinating food donations for the FSU Food for Thought pantry, assisting with events at the Maryland Oaks community, or handing out supplies at the Mana Food Pantry, his service has helped shape a stronger, more connected Tallahassee.
His chapter advisor, Bob Garner, noted that Reece participated in the majority of their chapter’s community service initiatives and was consistently selfless with his time. His contributions played a key role in the chapter gaining a strong reputation with community partners. Among a competitive group of nominees, Reece stood out as one of the most active and committed student leaders this year.
Reece Chibnick represents what it means to lead with integrity, purpose, and humility. His work both in and out of the classroom demonstrates the positive impact that a dedicated individual can have when driven by a sincere desire to make a difference.
