The programming committee for the 77th Annual SAM International Business Conference is pleased to announce the acceptance of the presentation TED and Television: Use in the classroom by Sara Kiser and Mario Zaino of Alabama State University.
Presentation Abstract: This presentation and subsequent paper will examine how to use a variety of these shows to bring textbook topics to “life” for students. Resources such as TED and “reality” television shows are resources that every faculty member can utilize in the classroom. These resources can be used to bring the concepts from the textbook to the “real” world. The possibilities are endless using resources such as TED (Ideas Worth Spreading), The Profit, Shark Tank, The World According to Jeff Goldblum, Brain Games, among others.
