Strategic Enrollment Management: Institutional, System, State, and National Perspectives

The programming committee for the 77th Annual SAM International Business Conference is pleased to announce the acceptance of the presentation Strategic Enrollment Management: Institutional, System, State, and National Perspectives by Susan Elkins, Joe Mews, and Mickey Baines from the University of South Carolina Palmetto College and Kennedy and Company.

Presentation Abstract: Enrollment management and student success are at the very core of the mission of every institution of higher education. Join us for this session that will focus on enrollment management and student success issues from institutions across the country, with pointers for strategic enrollment management planning that you can use in your own work every day. The presentation will include information such as how to build a a class, application to graduation, retention issues, completion rates, access, enrollment at various types of institutions (highly selective, selective, open access), outreach and community engagement, and special considerations in admissions. The audience will also be involved as we discuss related issues at each institution represented and share our stories from the institutions in the University of South Carolina Palmetto College, the University of South Carolina System, the state of South Carolina, and the national perspective.
