LeaderLite

The programming committee for the 77th Annual SAM International Business Conference is pleased to announce the acceptance of the presentation LeaderLite by Bennett Annan and Amanda Annan-Danquah of the Institute of African Leadership.

Presentation Abstract: This paper examined the current global community and establishes a new kind of global leadership called LeaderLITE—one that is holistic (body, mind, and spirit) in nature, and is able to deal with multifaceted intellectual and cultural issues while also being sensitive to the ethical needs of the people they serve. The concept of LeaderLITE is necessary to provide this new type of global leadership that will help lead and manage people so that they can quickly adapt to this global environment.
In this paper, the author argues why any leadership system that is short in attending to these three components of the human being—body, mind, and spirit—will be inadequate and will be unable to provide good service to mankind. LeaderLITE attends to all three of these components of the human being along with two more, forming the physical health, emotional stability, physical health, spiritual resilience, and environmental culture (PEPSE) system. Thus, LeaderLITE insists that leadership no longer settle for anything less than the best for mankind. The meaning of the term LeaderLITE is defined as (a) holistic in nature, (b) low in matter (i.e., lite), and (c) a candle that burns without a flicker.
The application of LeaderLITY is a dynamic process, which means the right ingredients and flavors should be added and subtracted continuously as deemed fit until the situation is resolved. Knowledge of the quintet of the LeaderLITE model, provided in this paper, is needed to provide the right ingredients and flavors to make this process unique, less cumbersome, and dynamic.
