The programming committee for the 77th Annual SAM International Business Conference is pleased to announce the acceptance of the panel presentation Exploring the many dimensions of leadership, authored by Tor Guimaraes, Robert Bell, and Thomas Timmerman from Tennessee Tech University.
Presentation Abstract: This panel addresses the concept of leadership as it has evolved from its historical and political importance to today’s leadership being widely accepted by business practitioners and researchers alike as one of the critical success factors for business innovation and growth. Based on several research studies field testing major determinants of success for business innovation at the strategic and project levels, our measures of leadership have consistently confirmed their importance in practice. This presentation discusses these measures of leadership and summarizes their importance. Further discussion of leadership will address it in the context of Human Resources Management and also from the perspective of universities and regional medical centers.
