This year at SAMIBC2020 we are pleased to announce another of our presenters, Gregory Anderson from Pepperdine University. Gregory will be presenting the paper Implementing A Local Government Organizational Culture Alignment Process.

Presentation Abstract: Data for this case study were collected from a two-year organizational culture alignment process with a local government in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. The qualitative, phenomenological approach utilized a nine-question semi-structured interview format to gather the lived experience of subjects. Four primary themes surfaced via key findings that helped executive team members identify gaps in organizational culture alignment and integrate strategies to bridge those gaps. Subject responses from questions such as, “When you think about organizational culture, where are people clear?” are discussed in this paper. Case study findings have substantive implications for local government professionals experiencing gaps in organizational culture alignment and for institutions of learning that train those preparing for public sector leadership.
