This year at SAMIBC2020 we are pleased to announce another of our presenters, Sarrah Berkery from the New England Institute of Technology. Sarrah will be presenting the paper Employee Retention Based on Managerial Styles.

Presentation Abstract: This paper examines journals, magazines, books, and web articles that are focused on managerial styles that effect employee retention. Sources including Thompson & Gregory, (2012), determine how employers can adapt to the incoming generation of workers, the millennials. Additionally,Given, (1946), determined that workplace culture is changing, and companies should either loose employees or change along with it. Others like Sorensen, (2013), determine that bad leaders can still be successful, despite their leadership styles. The result of this research will show that managerial styles do have a direct effect on employee retention.

Join us in Nashville, Tennessee to see this great paper and many more March 19 – 21, 2020. For registration information visit www.samnational.org/conference.
