When S.A.M.’s board of directors convened in Chicago prior to the start of the Society’s National Management Conference, the first order of business was the election of the following of­ficers for 1980-81:

Chairman of the Board: John S. McGuinness. A long-time member of S.A.M., McGuinness has held both local and national offices in the Society. During the past year, McGuinness, who heads up his own firm, John S. McGuinness Associates, served as S.A.M. president.

President: Clifford J. Doubek. A member of the Orange County chapter in California, Doubek has been presi­dent-elect for the past year. From 1978-79, he served as national vice-president of membership for the Society. Doubek is quality assurance director with Hancock Laboratories.

National Vice-President-Planning: Terry Finch. This will be Finch’s second term in this position. From 1978-79, he was vice-president of Region #2 operating out of Downers Grove, Illinois. He is an internal consultant for Sunbeam Corporation

National Vice-President-Finance & International: Donald Blum. A member of the Baltimore chapter, Blum has served two terms as national vice-president of senior chapter operations. He is an administrative manager with Ernst & Whinney and an active member in the Administrative Management Society as well as S.A.M.

National Vice-President-Senior Chapter Operations: Samuel Wilson. For the last year Wilson has been national vice-president-finance and international. A past president of the Philadelphia chapter, he is a professor of management at Temple University.

National Vice-President of Campus Chapter Operations: Moustafa Abdelsamad. A professor of finance and director of graduate studies in business at Virginia Commonwealth University, he has held several national positions with the Society, including vice-president, secretary. This will be his second term in charge of campus operations.

National Vice-President of Membership: Donald E. Callahan. He is a Fellow of S.A.M. and a past national vice-president, regional vice-president, and chapter president.

National Vice-President-New Chapter Development: Gregory F. Pashke. This is his first national office. Pashke is completing a term as president of the Erie, Pennsylvania, chapter.

National Vice-President of Programming: Victor V. Veysey. A member of the Los Angeles chapter, Veysey is director of the Industrial Relations Cen­ter and a Iecturer in business economics at the. California Institute of Tech­nology. He was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1971-1975.

National Vice-President-Special Projects & Historian: William Latham. Latham is a former executive director of the Society, as well as a past vice-­president of AMA. This is his second term in this position.

Secretary: Robert L. Dimit. As executive director of S.A.M., Dimit serves as secretary to the board of directors.

Five nominees for regional vice­presidencies were also voted on and approved:

Western: Anthony Brown of the Los Angeles chapter.

North Central: Thomas Greensmith of the Cincinnati chapter.

South Central: Harold Hammann of the St. Louis chapter.

Northeast: John Jackson of the Capital District (New York) chapter.

Southeast: Kenneth Matze of the Richmond chapter. SAM-NI
