The new officers were chosen by the vice-presidents from a slate of nominees drawn up by the nominating committee. The new officers will assume their official duties as of July 1 and will serve for one fuII year.

This year, the role of the national vice-presidents has been expanded. From now on, one of their primary responsibilities will be to help rebuild the chapter organization by supporting present chapters, organizing new chapters, and training and assisting newly formed chapters. Hence, the titles of these officers have been changed to simply national vice-presidents, reflecting the wider scope of their activities. The traditional vice-presidential functions of membership, campus, and others will be assigned by the new president to the individuals recently elected.
