Dr. Harold Koontz, Mead Johnson Professor of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles, has been elected chancellor of the International Academy of Management, according to an announcement made November 4 in Caracas, Venezuela. The I.A.M. is an honorary association of 143 fellows from 29 countries who have been elected over the years by the World Council of Management in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the science of management.

Koontz who was elected a fellow in 1962, is active in S.A.M. activities and is a recipient of the Taylor Key, one of S.A.M .’s highest awards. SAM-NI
